FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (AP) - A 91-year-old man is preparing for his fifth trip from Paradise to Hell.
Clayton Klein of Fowlerville plans to leave Friday from Whitefish Point, a few miles north of the village of Paradise in the eastern Upper Peninsula. He hopes to reach the Mackinac Bridge by Sept. 7 to take part in the annual walk across the bridge linking Michigan's two peninsulas.
Klein expects to reach Hell, 420 miles to the south, by Sept. 23. He doesn't plan to stay in the Livingston County hamlet, though. Howell radio station WHMI-FM says Klein's goal is to keep heading south and reach the Ohio border by Sept. 28.
