Woman's body found in Ottawa County

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - The Ottawa County Sheriff's office is trying to identify a body found floating in the water at Lamberjacks Marina in Oak Harbor.

The body is believed not to be that of missing Toledoan Cindy Sumner, police say.

The body is a white female believed to be in her late teens or early twenties. Her arms were bound behind her back and her feet were tied together. Her body was weighted down in 3 to 4 ft. of water with two large cement blocks.

There is a blue ink tattoo of a five-point star located on her right shoulder. The woman was wearing a white tank top.

People who were on jet skis found the body, which, police say, appeared to have been in the water for a week or longer.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's office at 419.734.4404.
