2 Wood County men facing felony charges for concealed carry fraud

(WTOL) - Two Wood County men are facing felony charges, suspected of fraudulently helping dozens of people get concealed carry licenses.

Detectives believe Jason Hernandez, a certified firearms instructor, would sign forms saying a person completed the mandatory 12 hours of instruction when they really hadn't.

Police believe Michael Davenport would steer people to Hernandez.

More than 130 people in Lucas and Wood counties are said to have applied for concealed carry licenses this way.
