Witness of Kalahari drowning has concerns

SANDUSKY (WTOL) - We have new details on a drowning death at Sandusky's Kalahari Resort.

The water park says its staffing levels were appropriate Sunday afternoon, August 2 when a boy was found floating in a pool.

We spoke with a Toledo mother who witnessed life guards pull the three year-old from the water.

She says she has serious concerns about what she saw. The witness said the lifeguards walked slowly out of the pool to start resuscitation. She didn't know if that was protocol, but she yelled, "Hurry Up." Kalahari's safety director say her staff acted appropriately.
