SYLVANIA (WTOL) - A group of Sylvania residents spoke out Thursday evening about a proposed fire station in their neighborhood.

The fire department says the new station could go in at the corner of Parkwood and Monroe. Dozens of residents from that neighborhood attended a special informational meeting, saying if it goes in, it will change their neighborhood.

"It would go from a quiet residential street to one where you have fire engines, and noise," said resident Sarah Hively.

No decision has been made about the location of the new station, but residents are urging leaders to look elsewhere.
