BUTLER, Ind. (AP) - The mayor of Butler, Ind., has died in a motorcycle crash in Ohio.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say Mayor Floyd Coburn died Sunday afternoon while riding with friends along U.S. 20 in Williams County, Ohio. He was 65.
Police say a motorcyclist riding in front of Coburn slowed and Coburn's bike struck him from behind. The crash sent Coburn's motorcycle off the road.
Troopers said Coburn was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene. Coburn was wearing a helmet. The other motorcyclist wasn't injured.
Coburn was in the second year of his second term as mayor of Butler. Before that, he served as a city judge for 10 years.
