Monroe schools locked down after bank robbery

MONROE, Mich (WTOL) - Police police say they have captured a suspected bank robber who hit the credit union on Winchester St. Friday morning, May 8.

Lincoln Elementary, Orchard High School and Trinity Lutheran School were locked down after police say a man told tellers he had a gun and got away with an unknown amount of money.

The schools were then put on partial lockdown, which means the outside doors were all locked but students are allowed to move from classroom to classroom. All schools are now open.
