Last Friday's WTOL 11/The Blade Job Fair was remarkable. To all of the people who were patient and friendly, thank you.
To all of the employers who sifted through hundreds of resumes and conducted countless mini-interviews, thank you.
I was amazed by the attitude of the people who came. They were smiling, determined to make a strong impression.
Most of them were in line when I got there at 8 in the morning. And those same people were still working hard at 4 p.m.
I was reminded that there are a lot of good people in this town.
I am more convinced than ever that if we are going to save Northwest Ohio we must all pull together in the same direction.
Our partnership with The Blade is built on the belief that combined we can become a powerful force for getting things done.
That is the attitude we should all bring to our jobs every day. We live here. We work here. We need each other.
