TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - There are only five more Mud Hens games where you'll be able to see the city of Toledo's mounted patrol. The group is being cut, along with nine other police sections next week.

A handful of cops are working the ballpark tonight. They're here for a safety presence, to look for drunks and to help citizens with any safety concerns or directions.

Five deputies will be working security inside the ballpark for the game tonight. They say more officers outside help prevent any problems from entering the field.

"Our security was also cut in half due to the economic issues taking place in Toledo. With fewer officers inside of the ballpark, it was nice to know there were some officers on the outside of the ballpark. And now that will be gone, also," says Fifth Third Field Security Deputy Annette Grzechowiak.

Security at the ballpark says folks don't need to worry. Inside security will patrol the outside of the Fifth Third Field.
