TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - The University of Toledo will layoff additional employees, across all UT campuses. We'll find out next week just how many people are being laid off.
University President Lloyd Jacobs sent a letter out stating that notices will be issued starting next week.
Jacobs says the pink slips will be painful, and will affect all campuses.
In a statement he says "we will have to say goodbye to friends and colleagues who have helped improve the human condition in academics, health care and other areas of university engagement."
"These men and women deserve our thanks and gratitude for their efforts to make UT a better place to work, live and learn. We will do everything we can to treat them fairly and humanely during this unfortunate transition."
WTOL.com and News 11 will have more on this developing story when the layoffs are announced.
