(WTOL) - Low-cost air carrier, Air Azul, is pushing back its starting date for service from Toledo to New York City.
Earlier this year, they announced plans for direct flights to the Big Apple. A plane would take you to Newark, New Jersey and passengers could take the train into the city. Now, they are planning to change the carrier's name and won't begin flights until July 1.
If you've already purchased tickets for flights prior to July 1, they say your credit card has not been charged.
News 11 spoke with Air Azul representatives. They tell us the company will be changing its name to Sun America and relaunching on May 4.
