Findlay plugs $1.4M deficit with big cuts

FINDLAY (WTOL) - Our media partner, the Findlay Courier, says 33 city workers will be laid off. That includes 13 police officers and 10 firefighters.

The city is facing a projected $1.4 million drop. In the first-quarter, they are reporting a loss of $308,000. The mayor says Fire Station 3 will also close and Riverside Pool will not open this summer.

The local firefighters' union says it is developing an alternative budget plan to save its staffers from the cuts.
