TOLEDO (WTOL) - A Toledo man has been found guilty in the murder of his fiance's toddler.
As part of a plea agreement, he plead no contest to murder. This got the charge reduced from aggravated murder. When he is sentenced on Monday, April 27, he faces up to life in prison with the eligibility of parole after 15 years.
The mother of Kayci Bork, Melissa Lusk, is also charged. She admitted in court that she knew of the beatings and did nothing. Lusk pleaded guilty Thursday to one count each of involuntary manslaughter and endangering children. Because the charges are related to the same incident, the sentences will be merged. She faces up to 10 years in prison.
