Fallen Timbers owner files bankruptcy

(WTOL) - The company that owns Fallen Timbers has filed for bankruptcy. General Growth Properties is the nation's second largest mall operator.

The company says it filed for Chapter 11, because it was not able to convince debt holders to give it more time to refinance under crushing debt.

General Growth says it does expect to be able to continue operating its malls as it reorganizes.

    The City of Toledo is apologizing to a man after they billed him for cutting grass on public property near his home.  Anthony Davis and his wife have lived in their home in south Toledo since 1995. The grass in the cul-de-sac outside their home is often overgrown.
