SOUTH TOLEDO (WTOL) - Investigators want to know what created a huge hole at a south Toledo business. It happened today at the former 4E Ranch in the 3400 block of Airport Highway.

At first, crews thought it was a gas explosion. Firefighters say it could have been a ruptured gas line that blew the wall out. Columbia gas tells News 11 the hole was caused by something unrelated to natural gas.

The owner of the building has his own theory about what happened. "I found a mirror. A heated mirror, like off a car," said Johnnie Harris. He believes a car slammed into his building and then ran off.

The owner bought the former restaurant more than a year ago. He says he's been working on renovations and plans to open up a barbeque restaurant in the future.
