TOLEDO (WTOL)- St. Francis de Sales High School presented Jonathan Niese with the Youth Jefferson Award Thursday, April 9.
Niese is a junior and a national honor student who spends his spare time doing service for the community. Over the summer, he took part in a program that teaches children with disabilities how to ride bicycles.
"It gives me an opportunity to use my talents to help others, and to use the gifts that God gave me to put them forward to help my parish and my community," said Niese.
Recent recipient James Findlay was on hand for the ceremony.
