NAPOLEON (WTOL) - Along the Maumee River in Napoleon sits a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half- bath home. An older home, to be sure, but it has potential.
Its owner, Nathan Minnick, has the offer of a lifetime for anyone interested: "...giving it away to the first person that says they'll take it."
Free house. Yep, 408 Maumee Ave. in Napoleon is free for the taking. But there is a catch.
The catch is, it's just the house, not the land. Minnick bought the piece of real estate 6 years ago to build his dream home. And now, the only thing in his way is the house.
"It's a win-win for both of us. Whoever wants to take it and for me because then I don't have the cost of tearing it down."
Nearly everything in the house comes with the deal: The furnace, hotwater heater and even the air conditioner are included.
Minnick listed the house on Craigslist and has had nearly 50 inquiries so far, all of them for pieces of the house. But that's not the deal: It's all or nothing.
"I'm just giving it away to anybody that wants to move it or tear it down or tear it down and move it or however they want to do it."
