TOLEDO (WTOL) - Darren Koester owns a sealcoating business and says he stands behind his work.
But he says travelers -- often from other states -- who solicit asphalt and roofing work are now in the area making things rough for the sealcoating industry and "giving us a bad name."
He says they're not only taking his jobs but stealing your money by doing inferior work at an inflated cost.
Koester suggests people be on the lookout.
"They're going to tell you they have a little material left over from a job," he says.
If you're approached, be sure to report it.
"Check with the Better Business Bureau or call the police," Koester said.
And he also suggests looking in the Yellow pages for reputable businesses.
