GREATER TOLEDO EXTENDS INVITATION TO FINAL FOUR FANS
Special Hotel Rates Offered Traveling to Region From Final Four Markets
The Toledo area hospitality industry is making a bid to share in the economic impact from next weekend's NCAA men's basketball tournament in Detroit - and promote the region at the same time. Led by the Greater Toledo Convention and Visitors Bureau, 16 hotels will offer special rates to entice fans to spend the night in Toledo when they attend the "Final Four."
The CVB is reaching out to campuses within driving distance of the tournament - including Pittsburgh, Villanova, Missouri, and Syracuse - by contacting their Athletic Departments, Alumni Associations, and official booster club travel agencies, as well as the NCAA.
Participating hotels are offering special rates and online booking at www.doToledo.org. Clicking on the "Final Four" link on the website's homepage provides potential visitors with a list of locations, rates and booking information. A list of hotels also follows this release.
"With our proximity to Detroit, the Toledo area can provide outstanding accommodations and also showcase Greater Toledo's many sites and attractions. The restaurant choices and hassle-free atmosphere make staying here a very exciting proposition," said David Nolan, GTCVB President.
