Store clerk suing former Toledo sergeant for harassment

TOLEDO (WTOL) - A convenience store clerk is suing a former Toledo Police sergeant, claiming he threatened and harassed her while on duty.

A surveillance video taken last March in the 7-11 on Navarre Ave. shows Sgt. Daniel Brandon talking with clerk Melissa Danko.

Danko claims Brandon threatened to arrest her unless she had sex with him. You can hear what was said next.

Clerk: I'm not worried about you.

Sgt. Brandon: What if I take your punk a** off to jail? In the county, you'd be thinking, 'Shoot, it's only five minutes.'

Clerk: Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Sgt. Brandon: And that's counting foreplay.

According to the lawsuit, Brandon said Danko would have sex with him -- either willingly or by force.

Danko is asking for $500,000.

Brandon is now fighting to get his job back.

The case goes to arbitration next week.
