(WTOL) - "I've talked to people who have told me it's their goal in life to go to the final four, and I'm not kidding," Dick Eppstein tells News 11.

For many, that dream will become a reality this year, and you don't even have to go far. It's coming to Detroit this year.

Here's the problem: counterfeit tickets have already surfaced on the Internet, so be careful before spending your hard earned cash on sites like ebay and Craigslist.

"I'm not saying there all scams," says Eppstein, "There are many legitimate deals out there, but you have to be alert."

Use a local ticket broker or sites like razorgator.com or stubhub.com. If you're going to search ebay and craigs list, be sure to do your research. Check out the tickets. They should include a hologram.

Also, since the picture of legal tickets can be pulled from anywhere and posted, take all precautions by paying with Paypal or with a credit card. "With a credit card, you can always back the charge up to 30 days afterward, if the tickets turn out to be fake."
