Parking tickets putting a crimp in Jimmy John's style

TOLEDO (WTOL) - The folks at Jimmy John's are trying to run their business but say the parking situation is making it almost impossible.

In fact, the delivery people who work at the restaurant in the 400 block of Adams in downtown Toledo are just plain fed up. They say parking in designated spots doesn't keep them from being ticketed.

So, they contacted Call 11 for Action problem solver Mika Highsmith.

Jeff Beck says he's gotten three tickets, though he's worked at the restaurant for just two months.

"It's $25 and after 15 days, it's $35," Beck said. "It's eating up my tips. It's pathetic, really."

Especially when he's just doing what he's told: parking in the designated spots.

Mika called the TPD, and they told her to call the city. She did, and the city says workers are allowed to park out front. They will work it out, but the TPD can not give Jimmy John's additional spaces due to safety issues.
