WOOD COUNTY, OH (WTOL) -   One person was killed in a crash just after 1:30 Monday afternoon, March 16 on I-75 near Cygnet.

Marvin Fintel, 78, of Deshler was killed.

Susan Wenger, 61, and Ernest Wenger, 62, of Baldwin, Michigan are both listed in critical condition at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Police say Fintel was driving a 1989 Chevy pick-up truck the wrong direction in the northbound lanes. He crashed into a 2003 Cadillac CTS head-on driven by Susan Wenger.

After the pick-up and Cadillac collided, a third vehicle was struck by the pick-up. That vehicle was a 2006 Sterling Straight Boom Truck driven by 50-year-old Gregory Wyatt from Burlington, Kentucky. Wyatt swerved to avoid the pick-up but was struck along the driver's side as he passed. Wyatt was not injured.

The highway was shut down for about an hour and a half. There is no word yet on why Fintel was going the wrong way.
