Greater Toledo Red Cross Chapter announces Family First Aid Day

Greater Toledo Red Cross Chapter Announces Family First Aid Day

If you saw someone having a stroke or seizure, would you know what to do until help arrived? All too often, people haven't been trained to provide lifesaving assistance in situations like these. A person's greatest chance of survival during a medical emergency greatly increases not when a professional rescuer arrives, but through life-sustaining care performed by the average person who is already on the scene.

At least one person in every household, office or school should be trained and certified in First Aid and CPR. You're not alone if you ask yourself, "With my hectic schedule, how can I find the time?"

The Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the Red Cross has a way for you to come together with other individuals to learn valuable lifesaving skills. For just $15, Family First Aid Day is a low cost opportunity for you to receive first aid training from an experienced Red Cross instructor. At the end of the course you will be qualified to become certified in Standard First Aid.

Join us on Saturday, March 21 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM and prepare to be a lifesaver. Better yet, increase the number of lifesavers in our community by bringing your family and friends. First Aid is especially important for teens with babysitting jobs!

Training will be offered at these locations:

UAW Region 2-B
1691 Woodlands Drive
Maumee, Ohio
BG City Park
527 Legion Drive
Bowling Green, Ohio
