PERRYSBURG, Ohio (WTOL) - Whether it's for the mansions along the Maumee or the quiet tree-lined streets of homes that run throughout the city, Zillow.com rated Perrysburg as the 15th hottest zip code to live in for home prices.
The Web site says home prices went up an average of 12.9 percent in Perrysburg from last fall to now.
Residents of Perrysburg agree with the assessment.
"I love living here," one resident said.
"It's just a great place to live and work and play," said another.
Others raved about the close proximity to the highway, the picturesque scenery and the schools.
Dan DiSalle is a real estate agent in Perrysburg, and he says it's also about the big companies, like First Solar, that call this area home and bring in people from across the globe to live there.
DiSalle adds that it's more than just tangible things like good schools, steady jobs and nice streets that make home prices rise.
"It's also a feeling people get when they come to the downtown, when they come to the community. There's activities for the children, and we have nice parks here in northern Wood county. It's just a fantastic place to live."
