TOLEDO, Ohio (WTOL) - At the end of the month, the city of Toledo is switching over to automated trash and recycling pick-up.
Drivers are already being trained, and new containers will be delivered at the end of the month. The city is also hosting three meetings for residents who have questions or want more of an explanation of the program.
As for or those who already took part in the pilot program, they say there wasn't much of a down side.
"It's worked out really well. It's a good-sized can where I can get everything in there. It's worked well I think," said Bob Raczkowski. The only downside Raczkowski named is getting the large container to the curb when there's snow.
Some residents do have questions about the program. Ruth Forbes says she's wondering if the new containers are big enough. Also, she's not sure if she can put oversize items out to be picked up.
