NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio (WTOL) - Four businesses are opening in downtown North Baltimore on Nov. 14, though shop owners say it's just a coincidence.
Harold Haynes will be opening a hardware store downtown. On the same day, North Baltimore will also have a new craft and consignment store, a new photography business and a brand new movie theatre. They'll all be within one city block.
The Kountry Cupboard is already opened right next door to Haynes, but the grand opening is Nov. 14.
"It's great that the little town of North Baltimore is coming back and businesses are coming in," said Kountry Cupboard owner Mary Ward. She adds, "I'm originally from here. I was raised here, and with the railroad company coming in, a new school system and an new high school, you know that just helps the town just grow."
Eric Reza also says pride in his hometown is why he opened his photography company. "I figured why not bring a business back to the community, and I think that's what the other businesses are trying to do."
