Suspect in Findlay murder arrested in Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - It took less than 24 hours to apprehend a suspect in a Findlay murder case.

Officers were dispatched at 4:42 a.m. to 2200 Jennifer Lane Apt. 8 in Findlay, Ohio to investigate a burglary with one person shot. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered that 26-year-old David A. Snyder of Findlay had been shot. He was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The alleged suspect in the shooting is Cornelius Patterson, 30, of Findlay.

Patterson had fled the scene prior to the officers arrival. A search warrant was obtained for Patterson's home, but he was not found.

An arrest warrant for murder was issued for Patterson.

Findlay detectives received a tip that Patterson was in Toledo. With the assistance of the Toledo Police Dept., Patterson was arrested at 7:00 p.m. in south Toledo.

Patterson's in the Lucas Co. Jail pending transfer to the Hancock Co, Justice Center.
