German American Festival organizers are now asking visitors to use the festival's shuttle service because yesterday's rain storms damaged fields where patrons normally park.
There are now a variety of places where people can park and ride to and from festival gates for free. They include:
Regularly scheduled shuttle service from Arnie's at Westgate on Central Ave, Berger's Olde Tyme Bar & Grill on Laskey, and the Lucas County Recreation Center will still run. These shuttles are $6.
All shuttles run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and return at 1 a.m. Sunday shuttle service will be available from Arnie's only. That runs from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Volunteer workers are asked to park at the Starr Avenue lot.
