Danielle says her car was brand new.TOLEDO (WTOL) - Police are still trying to figure out who's responsible for the vandalism that happened around 4:30 Friday morning and ended in the front yard of a house in the 3600 block of Brookside in Ottawa Hills.
The alleged victim says her new car was stolen from her parents' driveway on Evergreen.
Witnesses say they saw the car drive through a front yard a few blocks away on Sulphur Springs, then come back and sideswipe several cars that were parked on the street. The vandals then crashed the car in the front of a house on Brookside and took off running on foot.
"I just don't know how you can live with yourself and you know realize people work hard for the things they have these days and it's not easy for them to wake up to a cop coming to the house saying your car's stolen and it's just devastating," Danielle said.
You can hear more of Joe Stoll's exclusive interview with Danielle later tonight on News 11.
If you know anything about this, you're asked to call Ottawa Hills police at 419.531.4211.
