Police say seat belt saved man's life in serious Fulton Co. crash

FULTON COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A 21-year-old is in the hospital after a serious crash in Fulton County Friday morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened on County Road E between County Road 11 and County Road 12.

Police say the man was driving westbound on County Road E when he drove off the left side of the road and hit two telephone poles and a tree.

The Wauseon Fire Department had to extricate the man from his vehicle.

The man was taken to the hospital by air ambulance in serious but non-life threatening condition.

Police say his seat belt ultimately saved his life.

Toledo Edison is on the scene to fix the power lines.

The crash is under investigation.
