TPD asks for help identifying suspect in Family Dollar robbery

TPD says the suspect took an unknown amount of cash and assaulted the clerk on his way out

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department needs your help identifying a man who robbed the Family Dollar store on Lewis Avenue in west Toledo Sunday morning.

According to police, the suspect threatened the female clerk with a small black handgun and took an unknown amount of money. On his way out of the store, the clerk said he stomped on her as he ran away from the register. 

She does not know if the suspect left on foot or by car. 

The clerk described the suspect as 5 feet and 7 inches tall, weighing at about 230 lbs, wearing a light grey hoodie with dark sleeves, a hood, black ski mask, black sweatpants and white shoes.
