TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Zoo will be celebrating the eighth birthday of its youngest African elephant, Lucas, on June 1 and everyone is invited.
Activities go from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and include various games and even story time!
At 10:30 a.m., Lucas will receive his gifts. His presents are all hand-crafted by ZOOTeens and zookeepers. Cooper Tires is also helping Lucas celebrate by donating new tires for him to play with.
At 1:30 p.m., Lucas will be given his birthday cake, crafted by the zoo's catering department just for him.
The event is free with zoo admission.
