TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - A man is going on quite a journey to raise money to fight AIDS.
Stephen Fletcher pedaled to Toledo from New York City on a bike bringing only the bare necessities.
Once he leaves Toledo he's traveling all the way to Seattle then back down to San Diego for "Broadway Cares-Equity Fights AIDS."
It's a 5,000 mile journey. That's no easy task but Fletcher says he's up for the 90 day challenge, hoping it all pays off in the end.
"Hopefully we will be able to raise some awareness around the country, raise a few bucks, and I'll also get a decent adventure," says Fletcher. "On fletchride.com I've had to blog every night so people can keep up. We set up the donation pool so people can buy me a shower or a camp site for the night or buy me a beer."
Fletcher hopes to raise over $25,000 for AIDS research. If you'd like to help out go to the Big Red Box for a link or click here.
