WTOL.com, Toledo's News Leader, News 11 | 5-year-old killed in Hancock County crash

HANCOCK COUNTY (WTOL) - Alexander Garlock, 5, from Leipsic, Ohio was killed in vehicle crash at US-224 east of CR116.
This happened in Blanchard Township west of Findlay.
The Hancock County Sheriff's office investigated and learned Kristen Nowak was eastbound on US-224 when she lost control of her Ford F-150 pick-up due to icy conditions. The truck slid sideways going left of center. Alexander Garlock was a passenger in the truck.
The pick-up was struck on the driver side by a westbound commercial vehicle driven by Dale Bedford of Ontario, Canada.
Both Kristen Nowak and Alexander Garlock were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by ambulance. Garlock was pronounced dead at the hospital. Dale Bedford was not injured.
