A University of Toledo official has told News 11 that Crystal Dixon is no longer an employee at the University of Toledo.
We have no further information about the cause of the change in employment status.
Crystal Dixon has been on paid leave because of an article she wrote for Toledo Free Press in April.
At the time, she was UT's associate vice president of human resources. She responded to a column about the gay rights struggle, saying "As a Black woman ... I take great umbrage at the notion that those choosing the homosexual lifestyle are civil rights victims. I cannot wake up tomorrow and not be a Black woman. Daily thousands of homosexuals make a life decision to leave the gay lifestyle."
News 11 is continuing to investigate the employment change and will bring further details as they become available.
