Dan Bumpus

Dan co-anchors the dynamic and cutting edge local 9am talk show News 11 Your Day as well as News 11 at Noon, and he anchors TrafficTracker coverage on News 11 Your Morning. Dan can also be seen alerting viewers of the latest product recalls that could be putting you and your family in danger.

Dan has worked at several television stations across the nation and is proud to be back home doing the news in northwest Ohio. During his career, Dan has interviewed everyone from former Presidents, to rock and roll legends, to ordinary folks with extraordinary stories to tell.

A native of the city of Oregon and a Clay High School graduate, Dan grew up watching WTOL News 11. During his college years at Bowling Green State University, Dan worked as a technician and associate news producer for WTVG in Toledo.

After graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism, he joined 9 and 10 News, the CBS affiliate in Traverse City, Michigan, as a general assignment reporter. Later, he moved to the deep south to report the news for WALB in Albany, Georgia.

In June of 2000, Dan returned to the Glass City, joining WUPW as a general assignment reporter. He remained there for two years, and then spent nearly a year with Toledo public relations firm FLS Marketing Inc. before coming to WTOL News 11.

Dan lives in the Toledo area with his wife, Shawna, their beautiful baby boy Benjamin, and their Golden Retriever, Jack.
