TOLEDO, Ohio (WTOL) - A 13-year-old old Toledo boy has died after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of North Detroit and Prospect Tuesday.

Police say Jonathan Dotson was crossing Detroit, when he was struck by a Red Dodge Dakota and was thrown into the southbound lanes, where he was hit by a second vehicle.

Dotson was on life support due to brain trauma and was pronounced dead Thursday morning at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - The coroner's office says a teen boy has died after being hit by a pickup truck as he tried to walk across a busy Toledo street.

Authorities say 13-year-old Jonathan Dotson of Toledo had head injuries after being hit Tuesday evening and died Thursday at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Deputy Lucas County Coroner Diane Barnett says a report shows the boy was hit by a car, with the impact sending him in front of another vehicle.

She says the report shows the first vehicle fled.
