
SENECA COUNTY, Ohio (WTOL) - Seneca County Sheriff Tom Steyer is stepping down from his post, effective Jan. 18.
Steyer will take a position with the U.S. Foreign Service.
An interim sheriff will be selected by the Seneca County Commissioners and then appointed by a special committee.
Steyer has served as sheriff for nine years and has three years left in his current term.
