DETROIT (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is making a trip to Detroit to raise money for two Democratic congressmen.
U.S. Reps. Gary Peters of Oakland County's Bloomfield Township and Mark Schauer of Battle Creek are scheduled to co-host a Michigan Democratic Party fundraising breakfast Monday at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel.
Both Peters and Schauer were elected last year and are expected to face stiff challenges in 2010.
The party says tickets are $1,000. A VIP reception costs $5,000.
Biden last visited the state in August to announce that Michigan companies would get a large share of federal grants being awarded to develop next-generation electric vehicles and batteries.
