GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The former operations director of Holland's Tulip Time festival has pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges.
Fifty-one-year-old Thomas Westerlund of Grand Haven pleaded guilty Thursday to charges including taking sexually explicit pictures of two 13-year-old boys. Federal prosecutors say Westerlund also will plead guilty to criminal sexual conduct charges in Ottawa County.
Westerlund quit his job with the annual celebration of Dutch heritage in March after his trailer was raided by police.
Sentencing in federal court in Grand Rapids is scheduled for Feb. 11.
