CLEVELAND (AP) - Police say a rapist living in an Ohio home where several bodies have been found has been charged with five counts of aggravated murder.

Cleveland police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho says 50-year-old Anthony Sowell was also charged Tuesday with rape, felonious assault and kidnapping.

Police recovered the bodies of six women last week from Sowell's home. A Cleveland television station reported Tuesday that two more bodies were removed from the home.

Police: 4 more bodies found at Ohio rapist's home

CLEVELAND (AP) - Authorities say more remains have been discovered at the Cleveland home of a convicted rapist, raising to 10 the number of bodies that have been found there.

Police say four more bodies and a skull were found Tuesday at the home, where the remains of six women were removed last week.

Police Chief Michael McGrath says the additional bodies were found Tuesday in the backyard of the home where 50-year-old Anthony Sowell lives. The skull was found in the basement.

Last week, investigators said they found one body in a shallow grave in the backyard. The rest were inside the house.

Sowell is in jail and was charged Tuesday with five counts of aggravated murder and with rape, felonious assault, kidnapping.

2 more bodies found in yard at Sowell's house

CLEVELAND (AP) - A Cleveland television station reports that two more bodies have been removed from a convicted rapist's home where police last week recovered the bodies of six women.

WKYC-TV says the bodies were removed Tuesday after investigators excavated the yard of the home where 50-year-old Anthony Sowell lives. Two coroner's vans arrived shortly before the remains were removed.

Cleveland police Lt. Tom Stacho would not confirm that additional bodies had been recovered. He said more details would be provided at a 6 p.m. news conference.

A coroner's spokesman also could not confirm the report. Sowell is in jail but hasn't been charged.
