School custodian challenges loss of job

Posted: Updated:

SWANTON (WTOL) - A Swanton school custodian says she's losing her job for trying to keep students safe.

Dawn Neal says the Swanton School Board voted not to renew her contract. Neal says she never had any disciplinary action taken against her until recently when she was written up for insubordination.

She believes that happened because she made phone calls to the Fulton County Health Dept. complaining about mold in the school.

There has been no comment yet from the school board.
