TOLEDO (WTOL) - A cooler and gusty breeze continues through midday and into the early afternoon. Temperatures will remain very chilly much of the day in the Toledo metro, near the lake shore and in southern Michigan with highs in the 40s and low 50s late.
It turns much warmer to the south with highs soaring into the low and middle 70s. It could be 20-30 degrees warmer to the south!
Lakeshore flooding is likely with the strong onshore easterly wind gusting to 40 mph. Be alert for possible flooding, coastal erosion and damage to marinas and property.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms will be expected to develop overnight and into Friday morning. It will turn considerably warmer for all areas on Friday morning with temperatures well into the 60s.
It will dry out into the afternoon Friday. Winds will still be gusty, but mild. Partly sunny skies with highs in the middle and upper 60s. The weekend will be dry with highs near 60° on Saturday.
Rain is likely, possibly steady and soaking for the end of the weekend on Sunday with highs back into the upper 40s.
