Police looking for Furniture Palace breaking and entering suspect

Police are looking for a suspect who they say broke into Furniture Palace on Douglas Wednesday morning.

TOLEDO (WTOL) - Police are looking for a suspect wanted for breaking and entering into a local furniture store.

Police say the suspect broke into Furniture Palace’s storage facility on Douglas Wednesday morning.

The owner of Furniture Palace told police that the general manager of the store arrived at the facility and found the store’s chain and lock on the six-foot gate surrounding part of the building had been cut or damaged.

The owner said a side overhead garage door had also been smashed inward and that two bedroom dressers were stolen.

Police say security surveillance footage shows the suspect attempting to pry some plywood away from a window to get in, then later just using their vehicle to ram the overhead door.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle picture should call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
