TOLEDO (WTOL) - A retired Toledo police officer is at the center of a federal investigation.
He is accused of stealing items from the department’s property room, where he worked from January 2013 until he retired in January 2018.
Since he has not been charged, WTOL is choosing not to name him.
The investigation has prompted the police department to beef up security technology and procedures in the property room which means spending $10,000 for upgrades.
