Daycare owner found dead after 3-month-old was injured at daycare

Michigan State Police began a criminal investigation on the daycare’s owner, Jamie Vanslambruck due to the nature of the infant’s injury.

MONROE TOWNSHIP (WTOL) - A Michigan daycare owner was found dead two days after an infant suffered brain trauma while in the owner’s care.

Last Tuesday a three-month-old infant was taken to a local hospital after being unresponsive and sustaining significant brain trauma after being cared for at the Live, Laugh, and Learn Daycare in Monroe Township.

Michigan State Police began a criminal investigation on the daycare’s owner, Jamie Vanslambruck due to the nature of the infant’s injury.

Vanslambruck was found dead in Lasalle Township from a self-inflicted injury two days after the infant was taken to the hospital.

This is an on-going investigation. There is no word on the infant’s condition.
