Revised DORA plan to go before Tiffin city council

TIFFIN (WTOL) - The city of Tiffin will once again look into creating their own DORA.

Last year, Tiffin city council voted down the first proposal for DORA.

So, city administration has revised the plan.

Now, the proposal offers a downtown open refreshment area, Tuesday to Friday from 4pm to 11pm; and Saturdays from 11am to 11pm

The new proposal also removes the new East Green area from the DORA.

The hope is if approved, the DORA would benefit all businesses downtown, not just ones that serve alcohol.

"It's basically to create a collective atmosphere for the downtown energy basically, and bring people here. Make it a destination. So people will want to come here because there's more things to add onto the resume of things to do in downtown Tiffin." said Eric Kuebler, co-founder of the Laird Arcade Brewery

Tiffin city council will have its first reading of the new DORA ordinance Tuesday
