TOLEDO (WTOL) - Bishop Daniel Thomas and more than 700 parishioners from the Diocese of Toledo will be taking part in the annual March for Life on Friday.
The March for Life takes place in Washington, D.C. and commemorates the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion in 1973.
The pro-life march promotes respect and protection for all human life from conception to natural death, according to the Diocese of Toledo.
Bishop Thomas invites those from the dioceses to meet for a Mass prior to the march at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, located at 400 Michigan Ave.
The parishioners will then meet at Constitution and 12th Street, close to the outside of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History to start the march at 12:30 p.m.
