TOLEDO (WTOL) - Ohio’s newly elected Governor Mike DeWine was spotted checking in on the state’s automotive industry at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Wednesday.
DeWine tweeted that he and Lt. Governor Jon Husted were at the Fiat Chrysler booth, looking at the new Jeep Gladiator which is made here in the Glass City.
The pair snapped some pictures with the truck and even gave a shout out to Toledo with a hashtag.
The Gladiator was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show nearly two months ago, but Monday was the first day it was shown locally at the NAIAS in Detroit.
According to Jeep brand director Scott Tallon, the truck is on pace to hit showrooms by the end of June. However, it hasn’t been determined how much a Gladiator will sell for.
